Taj Mahal is the one of seven wonders of the world and it was also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.The Taj Mahal meaning is crown of the peace. It is situated on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the city of Agra.The Taj Mahal was built by the Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan built Taj mahal for his favourite wife , Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan was the fifth Mughal Emperor . The other name of Shah Jahan was Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram. Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram was born on 5 January 1592 in Lahore.The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
